The world has moved to information revolution. A web presence is one of the best ways to disseminate information to all the stakeholders. Most of the progressive housing co-operative societies do have a web presence. The Delhi Co-operative Tribunal and Office of Registrar Co-operative Societies have now mandated that each co-operative society should have its own website.

The technology has made it very easy for the societies to have its own website. We however suggest that the society should gone step further and have an Effective Website. An effective website is dynamic and is essentially a collaborative web application.

Thus a good website / web application should have the following features:

  • Policies and Procedures
  • Member Bills and Payments (electricity, maintenance and other bills)
  • Members / Owners / Tenants Data (Restricted Access)
  • Complaints Management
  • Summary of Expenses
  • Parking Details
  • Staff Details
  • Helper Details
  • Useful Contacts
  • Events and Photo gallery
  • …..
